3 Implants and Teeth-In-A-Day

Penny came to us with a number of concerns she wanted corrected to give her the smile she wanted. We addressed the following for her:

1) A broken front tooth from a failed root canal.

2) Loose crowns on her remaining teeth.

3) A bite that didn't feel right after having an acrylic lower implant bridge.

Smile Goals

We wanted to provide an option that would be minimally invasive and provide her with the best results possible. After reviewing her areas of concern, we decided that the best option was to remove her remaining teeth, place 3 implants and utilize an existing implant to fabricate a porelain impant bridge.

Why Teeth-In-A Day?

The All-on-4® dental implants is a minimally invasive method to full-mouth dental implants. We are able to create a full arch on the upper or lower jaw through four implants. This allows us to create a beautiful smile for our clients in a single day, rather than having to go through multiple surgeries.

Surgery Day

On the day of the surgery, Penny arrived at our Ladera Ranch office and we removed her teeth and placed 3 implants. We then used a digital scanning and printing machine to create a temporary 3D-printed resin bridge on the day of surgery.

Penny was shocked when she closed her teeth and her bite was perfect.

Healing Process

The healing phase for Penny's implants was three months. At the end of the phase, Penny came back in and secured the final porcelain bridge. The final design is based on the prototype that we created on surgery day. Penny's prototype had good fit and colour, so we copied that design for the final restoration and then swapped them on the final day.

Penny is now excited to also get her lower acrylic set changed to porcelain veneers because it feels so natural!
